Chic’s Wakeboard Clinics

by Cable Ski Logan
On Thursday 3rd of February 2011, Cable Ski Logan held the first in a series of Chic’s Cable Wakeboard Clinics. The clinic introduced first timers to wakeboarding, plus encouraged some of the local chic riders to get out and try some new tricks, obstacles and meet new chic wakeboarder friends.
We had Krissy Wilkings and Kirsten Lewis, who are wakeboarders from way back and both have competed nationally and internationally, on hand at the dock to offer tips, advice and encouragement to all the girls, to huge success. Every new rider got up on a wakeboard by the end of the clinic which was fantastic and all the girls were so stoked for each other. It was great to see everyone getting in and having a go. A big thanks to Loose Kid Industries who sponsored the clinic with goodies for all the girls.
The first clinic was such a hit that the girls organised a second one for the following week. The second clinic was a lot of fun and saw local rider Krystal Farry conquer the dragon on the inside of the lake. We also had our youngest rider, Jesa Stevenson have a go on the kneeboard. At 2 years of age, Jesa is keen as to get out on the water following after her big sister Rica (7 years) who started wakeboarding last season.
Following on from the first two clinics, Cable Ski Logan is holding a third clinic on Sunday 20th March, 2011 at 4.30pm, with the aim of encouraging more chic’s to pick up a wakeboard and give it a go.
